"Bold and structured red. Dark color; black licorice, raspberry and mineral character and hints of dried flowers; full-bodied, with spicy fruit and undertones of black pepper. Chewy finish. This is fantastic. Best after 2007. 5,000 cases made. (JS)"

"Many of you will no doubt remember the astounding wine that is the 98 point 2001 Feudi Serpico. Daniel Thomases, writing in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate called it "...impenetrable and inky, staggeringly rich in both aroma and flavor, offers ultra-ripe but perfectly fresh berry fruit, cloves, cinnamon, and chocolate, and mouth-coating, deep-pile tactile sensations which combine iron power and a enveloping, voluptuous texture, infinitely deep and long. I would be amazed if this wine did not last thirty years.""

"Feudi’s 2005 Serpico (Aglianico) is a medium-bodied, taut vintage for this wine. Notes of dark red fruits, smoke, herbs and sweet toasted oak emerge from the glass but the wine doesn’t have the requisite concentration to match its structural components. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2023. "
