93 points "The 2001 Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggio is one of the high spots of the entire zone in terms of superior Sangiovese, broad and ample in its expression of raspberry fruit, sweet oak spices, and violets, rich and velvety in its flow, intense but very round on the sustained finish. The 1982 vintage of this wine is still drinking superbly well, so another 15 years of life for the 2001 vintage seems anything but an over-optimistic prediction. Score - 93. (Daniel Thomases, www.erobertparker.com, April 2006)" Best 2001-2016
