96 points "Regardless of its high Petite Sirah content, this always special bottling delivers, year in and year out, one of the purest expressions of Zinfandel's berry-like fruit that crosses our tasting table. In this vintage, one that has not always been kind to the variety, the wine tops the charts again with a full-bodied, noticeably tannic composition that is lifted by its deep and keenly focused blackberry fruit, and by the way it manages to exude power and inner strength yet is never the least bit overdone. It displays great and admirable length at the finish and will age superbly for up to a decade. Reviewed: January 2013 Three Puffs 96 points" Best 2016-2023

95 points "Three Puffs 22% Petite Sirah; 2% Carignane. Nicely ripened blackberry first aromas are comfortably filled out by suggestions of red cherries, sweet oak, a touch of caramel and spicy background notes. Full-bodied on the palate with its suppleness running to a bit of flesh, but balanced quite well, this wine tightens up and finds structure figuring prominently in its latter half. Expect four to six years of growth at a minimum. It is made in the classic, sweet-berry, light spice mold of the Dry Creek Valley and is bound to entertain all but the most power hungry Zin fans " Best 2014-2020
