"Another superb Chardonnay made from both the old Wente clone and Robert Young Vineyard is the 2007 Chardonnay Ulises Valdez Vineyard. Caramelized orange and white peach scents intermixed with smoky hazelnuts give this cuvee a Meursault/Chassagne-Montrachet-like smokiness and earthiness. Full-bodied with good acidity and loads of floral characteristics, this superb effort can be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
