Tasting Notes:
tasted: April 23, 2009 , Kevin Ham
91 points "P.R. from Wine Advocate's review is spot on. More subdued now with more age, fruit dimishing a little, still big for a Burgundy. Long finish of tartness for food!"

" 88-91 points Pierre Rovani in Parker's Wine Advocate: "This dark ruby/purple colored wine exhibits sweet and pungent aromas of cassis liqueur. It is a very concentrated, intense, extracted, chewy, full-bodied, and powerful wine that buries the palate in shovels full of black cherries, cassis, and spices. It is extraordinarily long, not particularly elegant (sometimes a nose-tackle is more useful than a ballerina), and will require patience to allow its tannic personality to subside." (08/98)"
