"98-100pts. A potentially perfect wine is the 2012 Chardonnay Belle Cote (nearly 2,500 cases produced). While the yields were high in 2012, the quality was off the charts. Abundant floral, caramelized pear, lychee nut and pineapple aromas jump from the glass of this stunning Chardonnay along with good minerality, a full-bodied mouthfeel and super purity as well as texture. Between 40% and 60% new French oak is used, but the wood component is completely obscured by the wine’s density. It should drink well for 5-7 years.
